Two roads diverged into a yellow wood..

Kids, we often get options in life. We make a choice and leave the other options behind. It's strange how each of those ignored options could have created a different life altogether. :D (If you think it's from HIMYM, then blitz you :P) Okay, so here goes my maze theory.. I often think if I had taken Path A, I would be somewhere else. And, if I had chosen Path B, I would be.. ahem.. totally somewhere else. <Imagines an insect in a maze taking different paths  :P > The beauty of choices is that even though they take us through different paths, we aim to reach the SAME end. Some paths take us to that end, and some leave us stuck in the mid of the game.

True story :)

In the fall of 2011 (ok today ;) ), I was hunting for a top that I had to wear for (say, "an upcoming event"). After trying almost a dozen of them, I started feeling that I've grown so fat, and can't fit into anything. In spite of making so many efforts to loose weight, it was all a waste. This self condemn lasted for few minutes until I found the one which was a perfect fit. And that very moment, I felt ... this is the one! The only quote that stuck me at that moment was 'Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on it's ability to climb a tree, it will live it's whole life believing it's stupid.' Very petty thing, but I don't know how many times I end up condemning myself for being unfit, when the fact is that I wasn't meant to fit there. But, I'll get to that some other time ;) PS: Yessssssss, HIMYM is taking over me ;)

Why do we fall in love, and not rise in love?

Why do we 'fall' in love, and not 'rise' in love? What is better - falling or rising? Perhaps, falling in love is better. It's beautiful because you surrender yourself, just like when you are falling you lose it all and simply come down to your knees. But, the word 'fall' has a negative connotation to it. Falling is about losing balance. It's about coming down. It's about loss. Why we use such a negative word with love? May be rising in love is a better way to say it. Falling is easy, uncontrollable and can happen to anyone. Not all can muster the courage to get up though. But again, you can't experience rising until you have fallen. May be falling and rising are two phases. You have to fall, loose yourself and then slowly rise up.
